The Bit by Bit SJA Review | Goodbye, SJS | Part One

Ok so I have read the Blogtor Who Review, as always, and I have to say this episode looks quite… depressing. It looks very reflective and very… grown up. But I do know that my suspicions about Luke returning are confirmed, though I think he’s back in part two.

So, here we go. Here we go. Introduction, lovely. Could’ve filmed new footage. So meteor. Lovely music there. Normal day in the office here. About to meet Ruby. Lovely car there. Not exactly a line worthy to lead into the titles, almost too brief. So here we go, the finale part one.

Sarah Jane feels challenged. A very copycat house there, oh and she lives across the road. The must be getting old is a thread through this. I have to say Lost In Time was much more dramatic. Not a very nice alien hunter. Very Donna like music for the confrontation. She’s a very nice lady… no she isn’t. Something up with Ruby? Well she can’t be just an alien hunter. Something up with Sarah Jane. Not sure the little kids will get the hands shaking bit.

So Sarah Jane is not feeling too well. Getting old. Red alert, seems to be a lot now Ruby’s moved in. Suspicious. I have to say I did think this would enhance Sarah Jane’s character. It hasn’t. Shall Clyde, Rani and Luke just move away and fight aliens themselves, because Sarah Jane is getting a little bit awful. A little bit more awful. Oh and here’s Ruby. Interesting music here. A replacement for Sarah Jane? Oh I hope so it has to be said.

Maybe they could all work together, that would be lovely. Sarah Jane is sitting back. I wish Ruby isn’t evil now, she might actually help Sarah Jane. She can’t remember his name…. this is getting interesting. Oh why is Mr Smith, oh no, Sarah’s watching it back. This could be interesting. Sarah handing the gang over to Ruby? Giving driving lessons, maybe Ruby is the next Sarah Jane. Ruby’s turned up at just the right time.

Ok so maybe Sarah Jane is good, and Liz is playing Sarah Jane to her very best. Ooooooh, Miss White looks very happy. Too happy, there’s something up with Miss White, and of course Sarah will be back to stop her. Music building up. This isn’t Sarah Jane, something is wrong… Something is very wrong.

Ruby is behind this…. She has to be. Oooooh. Haha! I KNEW IT! RUBY IS MAKING SARAH JANE ILL! Ruby wanted everything! All for the thrills because her race needed it. Ruby is a very good character, even I wanted her to be a goody and I thought she would be one. But alas. Ruby is an alien, an alien that lives on adventure, so she’s made Sarah Jane ill in order to take her place and… well eat her. When Sarah’s out of the way Ruby can take charge and Ruby can feast on the adventure…

I think Sarah Jane’s character has done brilliantly in this episode, as well as the usual brilliance from Clyde and Rani. Everyone did brilliantly, and a congratulations to the FANTASTIC acting and character of Ruby White. Wanting her to be good, then bad. Thinking Sarah was losing it, thinking that someone was making her lose it. Knowing that someone had to be behind this, and Ruby was.

Next time, Luke is back and Ruby is messing with everybody’s heads to get what she wants. So. See you tomorrow!
